Just Like Korina Sanchez, Vice Ganda Defends Coco Martin and Kim Chui From Online Bashers

TV comedian and ‘It’s Showtime’ host Vice Ganda’s had a live stream in Facebook last Saturday. However, it becomes a sincere plea for Filipinos to try their best to get along, especially during these scary, anxious times.

Trying to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic, ABS-CBN going off air, and seeing his friends in the industry deal being bashed online drove Vice Ganda to tears.

He said that he could not help but cry over the divisiveness plaguing the country, aside from the virus.

In addition to that, he felt sad with the bashing that his fellow Kapamilya stars Coco Martin and Kim Chiu received. This happened after the two had spoken up against the decision of the government to force ABS-CBN off air.

Vice Ganda’s stream lasted for more than 1 hour and 40 minutes. As a result, the stream got 1.4 million views.

At some point it turned out to be a full Q&A session with his fans, rather than the initial plan for it to be a talk between him and his friends.

Hence, he spoke about how he missed his job of making people laugh on “It’s Showtime.”

He also gave advise to those who are dealing with an overwhelming amount of negativity online.

Come to think of it, he actually has a point. During this trying times what we need are positive thoughts and we need to be optimistic. Thus, we should not let those people who has negative thought affect us and bring us down. Don’t you agree?
